itsThoughtful is a website designed to assist users in the purchase of gifts for a wide range of occasions. Users contribute products for occasions and other users then vote on those products. The best of the user-submitted gifts rise to the top of search results, so that visitors to the site can quickly and easily determine what is the most popular and unique gifts for the occasion that they are shopping for. The website allows users to maintain wish lists, and share ideas with friends and family.

itsThoughtful was founded in 2009 and is owned and operated by Way Ventures, LLC. The site is dedicated to the goal of making finding gift ideas an easy and fun experience for users of the site. Users who are shopping for friends and family use itsThoughtful to easily gather gift ideas, or to use some of the ideas that other users have submitted over time. ItsThoughtful.com is redirected to GiftsQnA.com since 2011.

The website provides users with a network of product submitters and user votes in order to make choosing the perfect gift a much easier experience. No longer do users have to just guess at what is a good or appropriate gift for any occasion, instead, itsThoughtful will rank all submitted products so that the most popular or most unique items are the most apparent when searching for ideas. The site also has a unique “Ask the Community” function that enables users to get ideas from the community at large.

The website of itsThoughtful is well designed, clean and efficiently laid out. The color scheme is primarily green and white. The site is simple to browse, and very easy to find what one is looking for. There are very little hang-ups in the flow of the site, and users can quickly browse from page to page with minimal delay. One complaint that users of the site may have is that the “Recent Members” section is entirely too big for containing information that most users will find irrelevant. Advertisements are few on the site, and the advertisements they do have appear at the bottom of the right hand table of contents, making them essentially invisible unless the user has reason to scroll down this far. Normally this would be a good thing, or at least neutral; however, given that the nature of the site is to provide users with gift ideas, seeing advertisements for products that could be used as gifts might be helpful.

Registering for itsThoughtful is a quick and easy process. First, users must click on the “SignUp” link at the top right hand corner of any page on the site. After which, users must enter their username, password and confirmation, email address as well as first and last name. After this, agreeing to the Terms of Use and then clicking on “Sign Up Now” will send a registration email to the registered address. Clicking on the link in the email confirms registration and automatically logs the user in.

Users of itsThoughtful have full access to all of the features contained within at no cost. There are some advertisements that the site uses for revenue, but none to the point of excess, indeed most advertisements are buried near the bottom of any given page.

itsThoughtful is great for users who aren’t sure what to get someone for any given occasion and instead would like to access a database of other users and gather ideas. The services provided by this site are perfect for those who wish to buy gifts for office parties, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions.
